Side Projects

WaterSpotter

I built a mobile-first web app that is a crowdsourced map of free water fountains for cyclists and runners called WaterSpotter. The main idea for this app came from lots of bike rides in Palos Verdes CA where I ran out of water and had to go to the nearest gas station to buy water. I built a landing page MVP to test/validate the idea, then built the app based on all the positive feedback I got.

Tech stack:Ruby on Rails back end, Mapbox GL (Javascript) front end, Postgres db, Heroku hosting, Mixpanel analytics.
